Andy Babala, CPP Vice Chair
Andy Babala is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) with over two decades of distinguished experience in corporate security, safety management, and business leadership. As Vice Chair of ASIS International Northshore Chapter, he is committed to advancing the security profession through innovative programming, hybrid engagement models, and strategic community partnerships.
Andy’s corporate security career includes extensive experience in security systems design, emergency preparedness, standard operating procedures development, and cross-functional team leadership across multiple domestic and international locations. His background in establishing command center security systems, access control implementations, and comprehensive emergency response planning provides a strong foundation for his current work bridging traditional security expertise with emerging technologies.
He holds degrees from National Louis University and brings bilingual capabilities (English/Polish) that have enhanced his effectiveness in diverse organizational environments. His corporate experience includes roles with major organizations where he developed security protocols, managed budgets, and led teams in high-stakes operational settings.
Currently, Andy is Founder and Operator of Pure Expertz, where he focuses on AI Academy programs, professional workshops, and certification training for business owners and professionals. Pure Expertz offers AI advisory services, business consultancy, in-person training engagements, certification bootcamps, and wellness travel experiences designed to help professionals and organizations integrate artificial intelligence and automation into their operations.
Andy also leads the Block by Block Safety and Security Alliance, supported by Pure Expertz and alliance members. This collaborative initiative focuses on community-level security infrastructure, public-private partnerships, and AI-enhanced safety solutions that address modern security challenges through technology and strategic collaboration.
As a volunteer board member, Andy values the opportunity to collaborate with fellow security professionals and contribute to the chapter’s growth.
